Orlov trotter, or Orlov horse for short, was originally produced in the Soviet Union and has been imported into my country many times. As early as 1897, when Emperor Russia built the Middle East Railway in my country, and when some Belarusians moved into my country during the October Socialist Revolution in the Soviet Union, they brought a large number of Orlov thoroughbreds and their hybrid horses, distributed in Binzhou in the center of Harbin. Along the railway and the Heihe area. The horses in Harbin are mainly used for harness racing. In 1905, Harbin established a racecourse, which was the only racecourse on our website that had harness racing. This species is distributed in Yakeshi, Hailar, Sanhe, Heihe and other places. It is mostly used to improve local horses and has a great influence on the formation of Sanhe horses and Heihe horses. According to statistics from the Land Section of the Middle East Railway in 1928, there were 110 four Orlov thoroughbreds distributed along the Harbin and the Middle East Railway at that time, and 401 hybrids. In addition, before 1948, Xinjiang also imported a large number of Orlov and hybrid horses for improvement of Kazakh horses. It has a great influence on the formation of Yili horses.

Germline

The Orlov trotter has a history of 225 years. The name of the breed was derived from Duke Alexei Fedorovich Orlov (1737-1808), the vassal of Queen Czarina Yekazelinna. The Duke traveled to some countries in the Near East and Western Europe and introduced a large number of fine breed horses. In his private stables are bred various good horses from Turkey, Arabia, Persia, Britain, Spain, Italy and other countries. During the period, the Duke bought an extraordinary grey Arabian stallion named Smitangka. Although Smitanka has been used as a breeding stock for a short time, it has shown excellent genetic characteristics very successfully in the breeding process of Orlov trotter. Finally, the Orlov strain, which is popular all over the world, was bred.

Smitangka and the Danish mare bred a son in 1784, the grey Paulgan. Balsa, the son of Bolgan, began the breeding history of Orlov fast-trotting horses. Baltha I was praised in terms of appearance and inner quality. He is extremely powerful, tall, handsome, elegant, and fluent. He entered the racecourse when he was 7 years old, and has been the best stallion on the racecourse for the next 17 years. What plays an important role in the breeding process of Orlov trot is continuous competition and exercise. Russia's first Orlov trotter race was held in Moscow. Duke Orlov himself also watched many domestic and foreign competitions, and made a great contribution to the final breeding of the breed.
