In1999,RobinLibelievedthattheInternetenvironmentinChinawasmatureandsetofftoreturnhome.
InJanuary2000,RobinLirentedtworoomsinPekingUniversityResourcesHotelwithhisfirstventurecapitalinvestmentof1.2millionUSdollarsbasedonthepatentof"ultra-chainanalysis".Mr.XuYongco-foundedBaidu.Ninemonthslater,venturecapitalfirmDFJandIDGinvestedanother10millionU.S.dollarsinBaidu.
