Lateral ventricle

Anatomicalfeatures

Itisthecavityinthecerebralhemispherecontainingthecerebrospinalfluid.Itisdividedintothefollowingfourparts,andcommunicateswiththethirdventriclebytheinterventricularhole.

Anatomy

Centralpart:Itislocatedintheparietallobeabovethethalamusandbelowthecorpuscallosum.ItisthepartoftheventricularforamenextendingbetweenthepressurepartsandcontainsapartChoroidplexus.Theapexofthecentralpartiscomposedofthecorpuscallosum,andthecaudatenucleus,striaterminalis,theattachmentplateonthebackofthedorsalthalamus,thechoroidplexus,andthefornixinsequencefromtheoutsidetotheflooroftheventricle.Thepartwherethecentralpartofthelateralventriclemeetstheposteriorandloweranglesiscalledthelateralaccessorytriangle.Themorphologicalchangesofthistriangleareofgreatsignificanceinthediagnosisoflateralventriculography.

Theanteriorhorn:istheforwardpartoftheinterventricularforamen,withatransparentseptumontheinside,theheadofthecaudatenucleusontheoutside,andthetrunkofthecorpuscallosumaboveit,reachingthekneeofthecorpuscallosuminfront.Theanteriorangleextendsfromtheplaneoftheinterventricularholetothefront.Thecorpuscallosumformsitstopandanteriorwall;thecaudatenucleusheadformsitsbottomandlateralwalls;thetransparentpartitionextendsbetweenthecorpuscallosumandthefornix,separatingtheanteriorhornsonbothsides.Thelengthoftheposterioranglevaries.Thefibersofthecorpuscallosumblanketformthedorsalandoutersidewalls.Thebottomsurfaceistheoccipitalmedulla.Ontheinnersidewall,thereisalongitudinalbulge,thatis,thedistancebetweenbirds,whichisformedbythedeepdepressionofthedistance-shapedgroove.

Theposteriorangle:Fromthecentralpart,extendbackintotheoccipitallobe.Itextendsintotheoccipitallobe,slightlynarrow.Thecorpuscallosumblanketconstitutesitstopandoutersidewalls;theinnersidewalliscomposedoftwolongitudinalbulges:thedorsalbulgeiscalledtheposteriorcornerball,whichiscomposedoffibersfromthecorpuscallosumpressingparttotheoccipitallobe;theventralbulgeiscalledthedistancebetweenthebirdsandisdeeplysunkenbythedistance-likegroove.Become.Thebottomiscomposedofthemedullaoftheoccipitallobe.

Lowercorner:Locatedonthedorsolateralsideofthehippocampus,itcontainsthechoroidplexus.Theinferioranglestartsfromthelateralaccessorytriangle,goesaroundthebackofthedorsalthalamus,andthenextendsforwardintothemedialpartofthetemporallobe.Itsbottomsurfaceisdirectlyconnectedtothebottomoftherearcorner,andthereisasignificantlateralridgeonthebottom,whichiscausedbyadeepsunkenlateralditch.Mostofthetopandoutersidewallsareformedfromtheblanket,andasmallpartoftheinnerpartofthetopisformedfromthecaudatenucleusandtheterminallinesaccompanyingit.Themostprominentstructuresinthelowerwallarethehippocampusandhippocampalumbrella.Thechoroidplexusofthelateralventricleisattachedtothebackofthedorsalthalamus.Itiscontinuouswiththechoroidplexusofthethirdventriclethroughtheinterventricularforamen.Thefrontendofthelowercorner.
