Internetofthingsengineermeansthatthroughcomprehensiveandsystematiclearning,studentscanengageintheoperationandmaintenance,managementmonitoring,optimizationandtroubleshootingofInternetofthingsengineeringprojectsaftergraduation;facingtheInternetofthingsEquipmentmanufacturing,projectimplementationandmanagementfront-linesystemintegration(service)engineers,equipmentinstallationengineers,fieldapplicationengineers,equipment(maintenance/debugging)engineers,technicalsupportengineersandotherhigh-qualityskilledprofessionals.

In2013,theStateCouncilissuedthe"GuidingOpinionsoftheStateCouncilonPromotingtheOrderlyandHealthyDevelopmentoftheInternetofThings"Guofa[2013]No.7,andin2016,theStateCouncilissuedthe"ThirteenthThefive"NoticeoftheNationalInformatizationPlanning"Guofa[2016]No.73,thedocumentsallpointedoutthatamulti-levelandmulti-typeIoTtalenttrainingandservicesystemshouldbeestablishedtoacceleratethetrainingofIoT-relatedprofessionals.
Grading
TherearethreelevelsoftrainingandexaminationforthepracticingtechnicalleveloftheInternetofThingsengineers:elementary,intermediate,andadvanced.
Applicationrequirements
AnyonewhoabidesbytheConstitution,laws,andregulationsofthePeople’sRepublicofChina,hasgoodprofessionalqualitiesandethicalconduct,andmeetsalllevelsofapplicationrequirements,canparticipateintheInternetofThingsEngineerMajorTechnicallevelexamination:
EntryrequirementsforjuniorIoTengineerexamination:
1.Obtainatechnicalsecondaryschoolorcollegedegree,andhavebeenengagedinrelatedworkinthefieldofelectronicsfor1year;
2.Haveabachelor’sdegreeorabove,andhavebeenengagedinrelatedworkinthefieldofelectronicsformorethanhalfayear;
3.Freshgraduateswithacollegedegreeoraboveinthefieldofcomputerandelectronics.
RegistrationrequirementsfortheIntermediateInternetofThingsEngineerExam:
1.Obtainatechnicalsecondaryschoolorcollegedegree,andhavebeenengagedinrelatedworkinthefieldofelectronicsfor2years;
2Obtainabachelordegreeorabove,andhavebeenengagedinrelatedworkinthefieldofelectronicsforoneyear;
3.HoldajuniorIoTengineerprofessionaltechnicallevelcertificateforoneyear.
RegistrationrequirementsfortheseniorIoTengineerexam:
1.Obtainatechnicalsecondaryschoolorcollegedegree,andhavebeenengagedincomputer-relatedworkfor3years;
2.Obtainabachelor’sdegreeEducationdegreeorabove,workingincomputer-relatedworkforatleast2years;
