The985ProjectAdvantageDisciplineInnovationPlatformisanimportantpartofthe"985Project"system.Ithasbeenincludedinthe"NationalMediumandLong-termEducationalReformandDevelopmentPlanOutline"asalong-termimplementationofakeyprojectatthenationallevel.Becausetheplatformconstructionmethodisthesameasthe985projectplatform,itiscalledthe"985ProjectAdvantageDisciplineInnovationConstructionPlatform",alsoreferredtoasthe"985Platform".

"985Platform"collegesanduniversitiesarebasicallyindustry-specificuniversitiesthathavenotundergonemergersandreorganizations.Theyhaveextremelyhighdisciplineaccuracy.Theyhaveoneortwotopdisciplinesinthecountry,andarehighlyrecognizedintheindustry.Profoundindustryheritageanddisciplineaccumulation.Onlythe"211Project"collegesanduniversitiesdirectlyunderthecentralministriesandcommissionsofthestateareeligibletobeselectedforthisproject.
